Condition information and observations prepared for owners who have been asked by an insurer to provide a current survey. Requirements should be confirmed with your insurer.

All prices are guide prices and are subject to a pre-arranged informal chat with Jon. We will discuss the boat, its location, construction and the survey required. A final price will be agreed before any survey work begins.
UK and international surveys are available; travel, accommodation where needed, lifting, haul-out, dry-dock, marina and boatyard charges are additional.

Where we survey
Based in Bristol and Minehead.
Covering the South West.
Infinity Marine is a mobile practice working from two bases: Bristol and Minehead in West Somerset. Jon travels to the vessel wherever she is lying — marina berth, mud berth, swinging mooring, boatyard hardstanding or a broker's sales pontoon.
Regular ground includes Bristol Marina and the Floating Harbour, Portishead Quays, Watchet, Minehead, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, Sharpness and Gloucester Docks, across to Cardiff Bay, Penarth and Swansea, and down through Devon and Cornwall — Exmouth, Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth, Plymouth, Falmouth and Padstow — plus Dorset and Poole Harbour. Surveys elsewhere in the UK, and in Europe, are arranged regularly.
A word on the Bristol Channel. The tidal range here is the second largest in the world, which shapes how surveys get booked. Lift-out windows are tight, many berths dry out, and a vessel that has sat in a silty mud berth needs a different eye than one lying afloat in a deep-water marina. Local knowledge of which yards can lift what, and when, saves a great deal of wasted time.
Travel is quoted honestly by distance, and where two or more vessels can be seen on one trip that saving is passed on. Lifting, haul-out, dry-dock, pressure-washing and boatyard charges are payable separately, normally directly to the yard.
