Bristol & the Bristol Channel
Bristol Marina and the Floating Harbour, Portishead Quays, Sharpness, Gloucester Docks, Clevedon and across to Cardiff, Penarth and Swansea. Fresh-water berths, huge tides and a lot of steel.
Bristol surveys →Two bases, one surveyor, and a practice built around travelling to the vessel — wherever she happens to be lying. Surveys elsewhere in the UK and in Europe are arranged regularly.

Bristol surveys →Minehead, Watchet Marina, Bridgwater and the Parrett, Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare and the Exmoor coast. Drying moorings, mud berths and hulls that take their own weight twice a day.
Somerset surveys →Plymouth, Dartmouth, Brixham, Torquay, Exmouth, Falmouth, Padstow and Poole. Deep-water marinas, full salt water and boats that genuinely go offshore.
Devon & Cornwall surveys →Beyond the South West, surveys are arranged throughout the UK and in Europe. Travel is quoted honestly by distance rather than buried in the rate, and where two or more vessels can be seen on one trip that saving is passed on — so if you know of another survey happening nearby the same week, do mention it.
If travel makes the total uneconomic for a small or low-value vessel, you will be told so and pointed towards someone local. That is a better outcome than a quote nobody should accept.
Lifting, haul-out, dry-dock, pressure-washing and boatyard charges are always separate and normally paid directly to the yard. There is a full breakdown in how much does a boat survey cost in the UK?
